A.Macijauskas signs extension with Tau Ceramica

All Lithuanian media sources report that A.Macijauskas decided to stay in Vitoria "Tau Ceramica" club in spain and extended his deal.

"I like Europe, so maybe I am determined to stay in Europe for more extended period of time." - said A.Macijauskas to Lithuanian media.

"We decided to extend the deal this Tuesday (note: 07.20) with improved benefits for me. It's three years with a right to leave to NBA. Obligations are already signed, now I have only to put my signature on the original document. Vitoria club showed very high interest in retaining me and I also wanted to play there. I wouldn't like to comment on financial side of the deal. It's business of the club and my agent and no one else."

Media speculates that "Tau Ceramica wanted not only to increase Macijauskas' salary, but also a buyout amount also."

"There was some interest from NBA, but I got a good offer here, so I'll stay in Europe." - A.Macijauskas wasn't concrete about particular NBA teams which were interested in him.

A.Macijauskas is currently preparing for Olympic Games with Lithuanian NT, USA NT will play Lithuanians in group match on 21st of August.

Thanks brazys, I guess that shuts the book on Arvydas.
Although, if we do end up bringing Jamal back, Macas might have been a little redundant for us, so I'm glad this was him and not Nocioni signing an extension.

Thanks for update.

If we sign Chapu we still have half the mle.

How about Trenton Hassel

3 years for 5-6 mil sounds ok.

Has nothing to do wit the fact that we have to sign JC (and I'm certainly not a Jamal fan)

I'd rather bring Hoiberg back.

I would have loved to have had Macas on this team, but he did what he had to do.

I get the feeling the re-signing wasn't his first choice. If the Bulls or another NBA team wanted him, they could have had him.
